Synopsis

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are 3 squirrels who can sing, talk and are smart. They lived in a tree at Sierra Lake until the tree was cut down and taken to the big city of Los Angeles, California. Dave Seville (Jason Lee), a songwriter who is famous throughout Los Angeles, meets these squirrels and creates chaos at Dave's house. Finally, after they made an agreement with Dave, Dave finally tried to get them into orbit because of their singing skills, but because these squirrels had stage fright, they finally lost their singing ability and made Dave look ridiculous in front of his boss and finally Dave was fired by his boss, Ian.

Hawke (David Cross). Apart from that, Dave also lost Claire (Cameron Richardson), his ex-girlfriend, because when he met Dave at his house for dinner, Dave told him about his squirrels who could talk and sing, so Claire felt that Dave was making fun of her. Finally, Alvin, Simon and Theodore tried to fix everything by going to Ian's house, so that Ian trusted Dave again. As a result of their singing abilities, Alvin and The Chipmunks are famous throughout the United States through the song Christmas Don't Be Late.

However, this success made Ian get rid of Dave, who he considered unable to work anymore, which was actually just his tactic because Ian wanted the ground squirrels to be even more powerful so that money would flow into his pocket. Of course Dave didn't want to take it for granted. Dave tries to save Alvin, Simon, and Theodore from Ian's evil intentions because Dave doesn't want the three of them who he loves and considers to be his family to be used as money-making machines by Ian.
